Grimbeard Leather & BK Games

During summer ‘22 I landed a job at the local nerd store, BK Games, while living in Missouri. I had been playing Magic the Gathering and other games at the store for a while before being brought on as the shop’s designer and associate. We were a weird and goofy bunch, and to this day its still my favorite place I have ever worked. I was able to let loose and aid in developing the voice of the shop while allowing my creativity and OCD-tendencies reign true. We made a Tinder profile for the shop (no, it won’t be shown on my site lol), stayed up into the wee hours of the morning brainstorming sales and marketing ideas while demolishing each other in MTG, and met some truly amazing local vendors with beautiful wares to sell, as you can see in Grimbeard’s work below.

While at BK Games, I created whatever was needed for the store: sales flyers, IG and FB social posts, strange promotional videos for in-store products, isle signs, tournament posters, D&D campaign props, painted Legion and Warhammer armies for customers, shop activity schedules, illustrations for leather stamping, new inventory photos, outdoor signage and many MANY other things.
